In 2019, my husband and I experienced paranormal activity in a bed and breakfast in Lafayette, Louisiana. We fled at 2 a.m. and didn't stop driving until we reached Mississippi. Rich vanilla, milky coffee, caramel, and beignets dusted with powdered sugar sound like the perfect comforts after experiencing a haunting. Oakmoss keeps it a little spooky.
Notes: Vanilla co2, oakmoss, cafe au lait, ribbons of caramel, beignets dusted with powdered sugar
Category: Earthy Gourmand
Hand-blended with high quality perfumery materials, this scent is formulated at an extrait de parfum strength (more of the good stuff in your bottle) to provide maximum longevity and projection for the scent profile.
Choose from a coconut oil base for increased longevity, an alcohol base for more projection, or layer for the best of both worlds. We also now have an isopropyl myristate (IPM) base for our international customers who prefer a spray. The base can change the scent slightly; oil tends to bring out the richer base notes of a perfume and ages beautifully over time; alcohol tends to bring out lighter, fresher top notes and spice.
Alcohol based perfume ingredients: alcohol denat. (sda alcohol 40-b), parfum (fragrance), vanillin
Oil based perfume ingredients: fractionated coconut oil, alcohol denat. (sda alcohol 40-b), parfum (fragrance), vanillin
IPM based perfume ingredients: isopropyl myristate, alcohol denat. (sda alcohol 40-b), parfum (fragrance), vanillin
Alcohol-based perfumes cannot be shipped internationally. Our shipping zones are within the US and Canada. If your shipping address is in Canada and you choose an alcohol-based spray, your item will automatically be switched to IPM. For domestic addresses, alcohol based perfumes will be shipped in alcohol.
Perfume may appear cloudy due to natural oils. Perfume may darken over time due to natural vanilla content.
*Note, this perfume is vegetarian, but not vegan. It contains butter CO2.

I first ordered a 15ml of this via LuckyScent (because sometimes I'm impatient), but also ordered directly from Sorce. When I first tried it (the LuckyScent order, right after it was delivered), I got a very strong sour (almost spoiled) coffee scent. It dried down to something that was a bit more tolerable but I couldn't shake the sourness. I was heartbroken, because based on the fragrance notes and reviews I just knew I would like it. I did a bit more digging and learned that sometimes fragrance needs time to rest after transport, so I've been letting it sit for more than a week. I tried it again a couple of days ago and it smelled so much better on me. I also used it as a base layer, and on top of it sprayed In Dreams and Fairy Tales (Vanilla), which worked beautifully with it. In addition to the coffee scent (which isn't nearly as sour now), I'm getting caramel, butter, and another element of sweetness that's incredibly comforting and DELICIOUS. For me, I think this will be one that just needs to sit for some time before use. Depending on how that goes, I'll either wear it on its own or layer it with another scent. When I get my incoming Sorce order, I'll let this one mellow for a bit before diving in.
I'm very picky about scents. I've been hunting for a while for a realistic, sweet but complex gourmand with a little bit of edge. This is it. Very strong coffee and caramel notes, quite nutty, almost smells a little burnt. Seems to get smoother and creamier over time. It is atmospheric, projects well, the top notes linger a while. Very sweet but not cloying.
As someone born and raised in southern Louisiana, coffee here really does have a different smell than in other parts of the country. I never could have imagined it would be captured so perfectly in a scent like this. Nutty and bold, doesn't smell synthetic; sweet without being syrupy. Reminds me so much of living in New Orleans in my 20's. Smells like beignets and cafe au lait on the patio outside of cafe du monde in the middle of the night. Or the frozen Irish coffee at Mollys in the courtyard. Picking up a decadent Vietnamese iced coffee on my way to college. Misty, earthy and addictive. I also expected the coffee to sour after a few hours and it stays nutty and rich. This brand is wild to me because it's the ones I am positive I won't like, that wind up being my favorite and blowing my mind. This is a work of art.
on me this dries down to smell exactly like the crayola burnt marshmallow scented marker and it's SO nostalgic
I love this parfume sooo much! I will always repurchase. The coffee mixes so well with the other notes, its absolutely delicious! Its so cozy and comforting. Im constantly smelling my wrists and smiling throughout the day when I wear this! It also lasts all day on me! Im on my 2nd 100ml..love love love!
